author date on Portfolio post

  • Hi in the Virtue Theme Premium . how i can show the author and the date of created inside the post portfolio ? and that when i click the author it shows all post portfolio that he write ?

    I know that that work for regular blog post.

    I use portfolio post and blog post don’t , because i like how portfolio view works that you have many images that represent a post , and i click the post and see the content…
    And in blog post view is not the same, you have the image with a description and other things that is to much information compare to portfolio that is more simple …

  • Hey,
    Portfolio posts aren’t designed to be author oriented. They don’t have an author call in the frontend. You would have to build a child theme, edit the portfolio single output and add in the call for author.

    You might be better off using the blog posts since they are designed for this type of posting. Portfolios don’t even have post date references.

    As for making a grid page with only photos you can do this in premium, would require a little custom css but you can certainly do it. If you post in the premium support forums with a link to your site I would be happy to help with the css.
