Author name and avatar duplicated

  • Hi. I’ve updated to the latest version (2.4.5) and with ‘Author name and avatar’ checked, the page name appears twice and looks very messy. Any thoughts?

    It’s difficult to say without seeing a link, but it sounds like perhaps the avatar image isn’t loading and it’s showing the image “alt” text, which is the same as the page name. Could you try the suggestions in this FAQ and let me know whether that solves the problem for you?

    Hi John, thanks for the quick reply.

    Yes, it was the alt text for the avatar being blocked by adblocker; I thought (incorrectly) I had whitelisted the site. All fixed and thank you.
