Author Name Not Appearing

  • I just installed this plugin & set up the widget. It only displays the text but not the author name in the widget on my page though.

    I’ve created a new testimonial, put the name of the person who gave the testimonial into the post title. Still, it only displays the text of the testimonial but not the person’s name. Any reasons why?

    Also, how do I have the testimonial on the site look like the first demo one here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/testimonials-widget/screenshots/ ?

    I checked your Awesome screenshot, and I DO have the Author’s Name entered in the correct box under Testomonial Data.

    In the Widget options, I did NOT check Hide Author
    In the Testimonials Settings I did NOT check Hide Author

    I did not put the Author name in the Title in Testimonial Data

    Also I can’t get big close quote marks to show. I used Blockquotes formatting on the text in Edit Testimonial.

    I DID select Disable Built-In Quotes in the Testimonial Slider Widget Options. If I don’t select disable, I wend up with additional small opening and closing quotes plus the big opening quote marks.

    How do I make it so that the Author (Published by) field does not display on the main testimonials page?

    You can find this field setting in our Testimonials Widget setting page and check the Hide Author checkbox field.
