Author not displaying on the index page

  • Apologies if this has been posted before but I have looked for a solution and cannot find one.

    My blog is just about ready to go (https://thetelephonyblog.com/)but the author won’d display on the home page. I am using the <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> tag which works fine on the single.php and archive.php pages, but on the index page it doesnt show anything at all.

    Can anyone please help me with this, I am pulling my hair out :o(.
