  • If you want to change the CSS of any page in your file it would suggest to use custom CSS file rather than edit main theme’s stylesheet file.
    If you are using WordPress 4.7, use the “Additional CSS” option in the customizer. If not, install the plugin Advanced CSS Editor. Or, if you have Jetpack installed, enable its Custom CSS module.

    When you say you want to change “each author’s page” – can you give me an idea of what kind of changes you’re looking for? You’ll need to make page specific changes, which can be targeted by the body class, each page has a different ID and has a class such as page-id-6 or category-dinner, etc.
