Author page doesn't show

  • Currently i am trying to add some authors to my blog (www.drgen.com.ar) and wanted to have author’s pages.
    But, when i click on author’s page link, for example: https://www.drgen.com.ar/author/admin/
    I get redirected to home page (https://www.drgen.com.ar/) and not to author page.

    I get the link using <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?></p> code.

    I am using WP 3.0.1 with permalinks (i think this must be the problem since i am using exactly the same configuration in a local installation of WP with XAMPP without permalinks and it works fine).

    Any recomendation?

    I forgot to mention that this theme has a author.php
    and as i mention before, it works fine in local installation without permalinks.

    does it work with permalinks on default on your drgen.com.ar site?

    set to default, test, set back to custom

    See if that resets things?

    Hi Rev.
    i made that but doesn’t work neither ??

    with default links, my author link changed to https://www.drgen.com.ar/?author=1

    but when i clicked on it, i was sent to my home page again…

    Done!
    Problem was in Robots Meta plugin… with Archive Settings/Disable the author archives turned ON

    OK, next on the list… any plugins active? Even if you have the same plugins on your test install…something may just have gotten wacky.

    Try with all inactive?
