Author pages redirecting to home

    I have a website with a users’ list that links each user to its custom author page. However WPBruiser is causing that it redirects each author page to the home page. I unchecked this option in the plugin settings and that did the trick.

    Prevents bots from enumerating users through ‘/?author=N’ scans, the oEmbed API, and the WordPress REST API

    My question is: is it safe to uncheck this option?

    Hi @marbaque,
    It is not safe but… if you cannot change to redirect to the author page using their nicename instead of id… you have no other option.
