• I have one user with role of “author” that is not allowed to edit her own posts. She is using a mac, and I thought maybe that was the problem, but the same thing happens on my pc with her username. As she tries to edit, she gets the error message: “You are not allowed to edit posts as this user.” She is one of 5 authors on our blog, and is the only one that has this problem. She can write and publish posts just fine, but if she goes back into one of her posts to edit, she gets the error, and none of her changes are saved. As you can imagine, this is quite frustrating to her. Can anyone give me some idea as to why this is happening, and maybe even a solution?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Sorry, not a solution, but I’m having this problem too. One of my author users is getting the same message (“You are not allowed to edit posts as this user.”)

I have an author account for testing and the message appears after about a minute (seems to be when it does an auto save). But I can make changes and see them on the site. I’m waiting to see if my user can make changes.

I’ve just upgraded to version 2.6.3 but was also seeing it in 2.6.2 .

Any insights would be great! Thanks!
