Author Role Can’t Edit Own Drafts

  • When an author role saves a draft, shouldn’t they be able to go back in and make edits to it?

    I thought using the Role Manager plugin would fix it, but there’s no option that allows you to “Edit own drafts.” I can give authors the capability of editing their own drafts by turning on “Edit Others Posts,” but then that gives them the ability to not only edit their drafts but other authors’ live/draft blog posts as well which is a whole different can of worms.

    Has anyone else run into this and know of a fix?
