Author that's not a User

Hi,

I’d like to be able to have posts by authors that are not users. I don’t mind entering the post text myself as an admin, but the problem is that from there I would like all the features that typically come from having an author associated with a post: I would like for the posts to provide the author name (which I can manually fill in), and for that name to be linkable to the author’s page with a full bio (again, provided by me), and to be able to get a page with a list of all the authors and their posts, etc. Point is I just don’t want to require a user to register for this.

Is there any way that I can accomplish this?

I’ve thought of just creating mock users on my own as an admin, which I might have done had the email field not been required to be unique (I wouldn’t have minded created different usernames and passwords, but I don’t want to do this if unique emails are required).

Have spent so much time trying to figure this out, would appreciate any help!
