Author unable to edit media

    I am the admin for an artists’ site. All the users are set to Author so they can edit their own pages and upload images/galleries. But they cannot edit any of their images once uploaded including titles, captions, alts etc.

    The only way I can see to fix this is to make everyone Admin roles, which I don’t want to do.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks Tasko. I’ve downloaded the plug-in but I still can’t seem to allow users to edit media. The only “capability” I can find is [edit_files] but that doesn’t seem to work. Do you have experience of the plugin?

    I just tested on my local WordPress a user that is an author and it’s working fine even without any plugins.
    I can edit files that I uploaded as an author

    Well done! I’ve set all my other users to “Authors” but it’s still the same. Here’s hoping someone else might join in and give me some tips!
