Author unable to edit posts

  • I have 2 authors on my website.
    One can edit drafts and other posts as well, but the other can’t even view drafts, let alone editing.
    I deleted the one which wasn’t able to read or edit drafts and again created with some different username. But still the problem persists.

    I might be missing something as I am new to WordPress.
    I’ll be glad if somebody helped me out!

  • To be able to edit posts (other than your own) you need to be (at least) an editor I believe…

    Editor – somebody who can publish and manage posts including the posts of other users.
    Author – somebody who can publish and manage their own posts.

    Or you can keep them as authors, but just make sure they set as the author on the specific post they need to edit.
