Author users can't access pages and posts

  • Hi guys,

    When WP User Avatar is active, users with role Author can’t access the pages and posts Dashboard items.

    For example this page:
    /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page

    Gives:
    You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

    The Posts admin menu is not even visible.

    I disabled other plugins that may interfere (User Role Editor, Edit Flow, Better Author Bio) but nothing changes, the problem only happens when WP User Avatar is active.

    It seems a bug, or something to clean in the config?

    I found that the problem is triggered when the option ‘Allow Contributors & Subscribers to upload avatars’ is activated, even if the user is Editor.

    And one correction: the role with problems is Editor, not Author.
