    Hello,

I’ve recently changed my url and my Author name is still attached to my old url, and an error saying

This site can’t be reached Check if there is a typo in?www.lovefromlisa.com. is displaying.

I’ve tried to work out how to change the url to my new website but I can’t seem to find a solution.

Is there anything I can do.

    Thank you,

    Lisa.

    Hello,

I haven’t found the solution yet.

    Thank you.

    okay no problem.
Install and activate the Redirection plugin. Go to Tools > Redirection in your WordPress dashboard. Add a new redirect:

    1. Source URL: /author/old-author-name/

    2. Target URL: /author/new-author-name/

    Save the changes.

The only problem with doing this is that my old url will expire soon and I won’t be renewing it.

Is there a way to change to url to the new site without a redirection?

    Thank you.

Okay You can follow this steps

Update the Site URL in WordPress Settings:

    Go to your WordPress dashboard.

    Navigate to Settings > General.

Update the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) fields to your new site URL (https://www.organisedmumlife.com).

    And Save changes.

    Update Database References:

Install and activate the Better Search Replace plugin.

Use the plugin to search for your old URL (www.lovefromlisa.com) in the database and replace it with your new URL (www.organisedmumlife.com).

Be cautious and back up your database before performing the search and replace.

    Update Author Slug (if needed):

If the issue specifically affects the author page, update the author slug:

Use the Edit Author Slug plugin.

Go to Users > Your Profile and change the slug to reflect the new site structure.

And Save changes and update permalinks (next step).

    Update Permalinks:

    Go to Settings > Permalinks.

Click Save Changes to regenerate the permalink structure.

I think your problem will solve.
    Thank You
