    I have a problem with the authorization process, that when I generate the code from the link and paste it in the box I get the red X mark.
    I do paste as plain text
    and I have uninstalled all other opthin plug-ins from the dashboard
    Is there any thing that I can do to solve this problem
    I run on WordPress 4.9.1
    I also tried to re-install WordPress but noting have changed
    help me please

    Let’s see how we can help.

    Please first deauthorize Optin Cat from the list of authorized apps in Aweber’s account area then enter a new code again in the Auth Code field. Then check if the issue persists.

    If it still has the same issue, then there might be conflict in between Optin Cat and your currently active theme or other active plugins since we don’t have other reports from other users and is most likely an issue unique to your installation.

    To search for conflicts, please follow these steps.

    1. First please deactivate all plugins except Optin Cat and see if the issue persists.
    2. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one to see if the issue returns.
    3. If no conflict is found among your plugins, try reverting to a default WP theme like ‘Twenty Sixteen’, or ‘Twenty Seventeen’, and see if the issue is resolved.

    Hi,
    I did exactly what you said. But I didn’t find any conflicts and still not working.

    My theme is Decree, so maybe it’s because of it.

    Can you fix it?

    Hello there,

    Have you tried switching themes yet? Since this might also be a theme conflict in between Optin and your theme so you might as well try that on your end.

    Hello there,

    We’ve had some problems with some customers that were with Aweber in the past because of how things would not work on Aweber’s API end and generally got fixed after waiting 2-3 days.

    However, since you’re with another plugin now I think if you ever decide to revisit us again we could be glad to help more.

    I changed back to you and I changed the theme. Unfortunately the problem hasn’t been solved.

    Can you do anything for that?

    Can you please deactivate all your plugins again to see if the issue persists?

    Also, try to deauthorize Optin Cat from the list of authorized apps in Aweber and try with a new Auth Code once again.

    We ask because Aweber is strange sometimes and can just not work with its API in some cases.
