    Hello fellow Postie-lovers,
I’m trying to convince postie, to get to work.
This is the Postie Configuration Test
    – Cron: On
    – Alternate Cron: Off
    – iconv: installed
    – imap: installed
    – mbstring: installed
    – Clock Tests This shows what time it would be if you posted right now
    – Post time: 2014-10-09 11:10:35
    – Connect to Mail Host (GMAIL)
    – Successful POP3-SSL connection on port 995
So far so good… but then:
    – There are 1 messages to process
    – Sent from invalid SMTP server.
    – Invalid sender: xxx@yyy(this is my email)! Not adding email!
    – A copy of the message has been forwarded to the administrator.
    – Ignoring email – not authorized.
    – Mail fetch complete, 1 emails

So; Postie logs lovely into my Gmail-account, detects the mail and sends it to my email-account instead of making a new post..
I’ve tried all the settings combinations in the ‘user’ department:
    – Allow Anyone To Post: yes and no
    – different Roles
    – Authorized Addresses
    – Default Poster
    – new user with Authorized Address and admin role as Default Poster
    it remains the same story…
    what am I doing wrong?
    Please help me…

You have some value in the “Allowed SMTP servers” which is not in the “received” email header.
Try clearing the “Allowed SMTP servers” setting.
