Authorize.net with Response Reason Codes ARB in WordPress Gold Cart

We are looking for a developer to help us with our checkout on our wordpress ecommerce site.

We sell a product with a montly subscription and a one month trial at a lower price.

Right now, we are able to create ARB Subscriptions on our checkout page and pass all information from wordpress to authorize.net.

Going forward we need to be able to decline credit cards on our checkout page and not let them return a completed order, and make a ARB.

I spoke with someone at authorize.net about this and they told me that we need to have 2 scripts running.

1. to capture and authorize the credit card for the one time $5.95 fee then return a code back to the server.

2. to interpret the code that it sends back and if the card is declined (for any reason) stop the transaction and give an error code on the checkout page with why the transaction was not completed. Then, if the card is approved, it will go ahead and create the ARB with a one month free trial since we have already charged the one time $5.95 fee in the first script.
