• I have a blog where people can register/login and create their own posts.

When they first login they are taken to the posts page in the admin area. My problem is that they can see every post on the site and who wrote them. Once they post something they can only see their posts but I don’t want them to ever see the other posts. It just makes it confusing.

Is there a place where I can change this?

I would like to have some basic instructions appear if they have never posted anything rather than other people’s posts.

  • You might try Justin Tadlock’s Members plugin. You can edit the capabilities of whichever role is your default role at registration. I suggest you look at the edit_others_posts capability.
