Hello, after installing the Molongui plugin, the “Post Info” widget within an Elementor Loop template does not work correctly: even enabling the Author name link so that clicking opens the page with the author’s articles, the link does not work , only the hover effect on the name. See the link https://parepense.com.br on the home page. When I disable the plugin, the author’s name becomes clickable on the home page again.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @dzign,

The provided URL is showing some sort of “Maintenance mode” message and we are not able to check the issue you reported. Could you please check it or let us know when it will be available again?

And, the “Elementor Loop template” you mentioned, is a feature provided by Elementor Pro or a different third party plugin?

Please let us know so we can assist.

Hello, I apologize for the inconvenience, I have already removed the website from maintenance mode. And the Elementor Loop Template is part of Elementor Pro, a new feature where we can customize the appearance of the grids or slides of the posts, not having to use the classic “posts” widget (cards or classic). When we assemble the templates in Elementor, we can enter the post information such as date, categories, comments and author. In the authors’ option, we can enable or disable the link in the name, taking the reader to all the posts written by him. The feature only works when disabling the Molongui plugin, unfortunately.
I appreciate the attention of the Molongui team.

Thanks for that. We have tried to reproduce the issue, but we are not able to. On a testing server running latest version of WP, Elementor, Elementor Pro and Hello theme, we have added a basic template displaying: post featured image, post title and post info (including post author name, date and comments). Then, we have edited a page with the Elementor editor adding a Loop Grid widget, using the previous created template. Author names are displaying OK for multi-authored posts and each author name is linking to their author page.

We have tried to add the Author Box widget (default settings) to the template and it is also displaying multiple authors names with links on co-authored posts.

So not really sure how we can reproduce the issue on our end. Are we missing something?

Could you please make sure you have the “Make author name link to author page” setting enabled? You can find this setting on: Authors > Settings > Co-authors > Post Byline. If it was disabled, please enable it and check if the issue persists.

    Please let us know.

I think I figured out what happened on the site. I have only two authors who are wordpress users and the rest are guest authors. When I enable the option “Make author name link to author page” in Authors > Settings > Co-authors > Post Byline, only the authors who are users of the site have their names clickable and taking us to their content pages (and are with a strange appearance, the icon of the line disappears, I will leave it enabled until tomorrow for you to look). I’m using the plugin in the free version and I just saw that to make visiting authors also clickable for their content, I would have to buy the pro version of this plugin, right? I am immensely grateful for your impeccable service and I will evaluate with my client the possibility of buying the PRO version, because this plugin is fabulous. Thanks!

Yes, guest author pages are only available with the Pro version of the plugin. With the Pro version you have available a handy shortcode ([molongui_byline]) to display the author byline, so you could use it in the template you use for your Loop Grid.

Glad to know you like our plugin so much!
