Authors Page with avatar, bio, recent posts

  • A client has requested that I make blog page organized by author like this page (which is coded in drupal):
    https://www.internationalrivers.org/blogs

    Features:

    • Authors listed.
    • Includes bio and photo/avatar.
    • 5 Recent posts by title.
    • Can determine the order of how authors are listed (could be a) fixed or b) updated when an author adds a new post, which is probably a stretch for WP)

    Does anyone know of a plugin or hack to do this quick-and-easy-like?

    I’ve been checking out different plugins, but the author bio plugins that I have found are mainly for appending to a post, rather than generating a dynamic post listing.

    Any help is much appreciated.
