• Since I upgraded to 2.2, users with the author role cannot schedule posts and have them show up in the loop. They schdule a post and it shows up in the “Recent Posts” at the appointed time, but will not show up in the loop unless I (admin) edit the post. This is new to 2.2, from what I can see.

  • So they show up in Manage->Posts? What happens if you change themes to the WordPress Default 1.6 theme?

If you look at the database table wp_posts for one of the offending posts (before you touch it), does the post_status say “publish” and the post_type say “post”? Use phpMyAdmin to access the database if available.

Yes, the post_status says “publish” and the post_type says “post”?

It is in the manage posts. The problem follows several templates.

I was having this problem and it was because wp_cron was added to the core. If you have the plugin wp Cron or another plugin that makes use of it, you will have to get rid of it for this to work for you.
