Hi, I am trying to add a coupon automatically when a customer clicks a button for “Apply Coupon Code”. The URL for my site with the button is sites.lucmia.com/combatdo. My shop is located at sites.lucmia.com/combatdo/shop. And I am using the URL on the button, https://sites.lucmia.com/combatdo/shop?apply_coupon=winter50 as the coupon to be applied is “Winter50”.

My store is https://sites.lucmia.com/combatdo/store but it specifically said Shop in the URL directions. I’ve tried both ways with no success.

Can you please advise as to what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

    -Tim

The free version of this plugin will only work in combination with a cart that the coupon can actually be applied to. A coupon can not be applied to an empty cart.

I.e. it must be combined with ?add-to-cart=

Hi, I had something in the cart when testing this. There is a $100 item in cart now and it still isn’t working. I am not the most technical, could you please be a bit more precise with your explanation? Thanks! -Tim

Can you apply the coupon manually on the cart page? If not, what is the error message displayed?

It was a sale product. Had it set to not allow coupons to be added to a sale product. Thanks for helping!

Will the pro version of the plugin work on an empty cart?

Yes, it will display a message ‘coupon will be applied when it’s restrictions are met’
