We updated WooCommerce and WooCommerce Extended Coupons at the same time. We were using auto-apply with a usage limit per customer for customers with a specific user role, and this stopped working as it had in the past. Even after the usage limit has been reached for a specific customer, the coupon is still auto-applied. However, it presents an error stating that the coupon usage limit has been reached and continues to attempt to apply the code. It goes into a loop that won’t end, and it prevents the customer from checking out.

I’m happy to upgrade to the Pro plugin, but I’m not sure that it will fix the issue. Please advise. I will happily buy Pro or donate to development….please just make this work the way that it used to.

It might be related to this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/coupon-usage-limit-per-user-not-working/#post-9626576

I will check if I can reproduce it.

    Hi Soft79.

I’m experiencing the same problem and just updated Woocommerce to v3.2.5 as per this post.
WooCommerce Extended Coupon Features is at v2.6.0.2

    Issue:
It isn’t applying the ‘Usage limit per user’ rules and seems to allow unlimited products to be ordered.
I then set the ‘Usage limit per coupon’ and this seems to have the same problem allowing unlimited usage.

Even bigger problem is if I add a product to the cart and then go to view the cart it is fine. However if I then update the product by increasing the number of items in the cart and click ‘Update’ the cart refreshes but it doesn’t show the results of the cart, just a blank page with just the header ‘Cart’.
I appreciate this may not be an issue but I thought I’d share and I will report to woocommerce team.

    Hi,

Just to let you know I’ve created my own new post to the Woocommerce team at: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/coupon-usage-limit-per-user-not-working-2/ as the other post has been set to resolved.

As for the Cart issue I flagged – I’ve carried out some further testing and I can confirm that it appears to be an issue with my bespoke child theme as switching to TwentySeveenteen theme the Cart updates.

ciphoto, Are you still having this issue? I can’t reproduce it. I tried it with WC 3.2.5, 3.2.3, 3.2.1 and 3.1.2…

pxwm, Is it possible that you misunderstand these options?

Usage limit per user = Amount of time the coupon can be used per customer.
Usage limit per coupon = Amount of times the coupon can be used in general.
Limit usage to X items = Discount up to X items per coupon per order.

What would you like to accomplish?

If you want to limit the amount of products to be discounted, use ‘Limit usage to X items’.

    Hi Soft79

    Many thanks for your reply.

I can confirm I wish to allow a user/customer to order up to 10 valid items across up to 10 orders.

e.g. They could order 10 valid items in a single order
or any combination such as 4 valid items in one order and 6 valid items in the next
or 6 valid items in one order and 6 valid items in the next and the coupon only applies to 4 of the valid items in the second order.
or one valid item per order across 10 orders.

The important factor is the total number of items ordered should not exceed 10 per coupon per user/customer but can be across a number of orders.

Is this possible with your plugin?

    Regards
    SteveB
