Auto Crop/Auto Re-size Featured Images on Home Page/ Recommended Post

Is there a way to auto crop or auto Re-size or auto fit the featured images in homepage? sidebar and related post? I love this theme the only issue for me is that the featured images doesn’t automatically scaled down to equal size. How can i fix this?
