the feature “Auto detects most post custom fields” is incorrect.
just some of the plugins I tested:
Types – Complete Solution for Custom Fields and Types
WCK – Custom Fields and Custom Post Types Creator
NONE OF THESE HAD THEIR FIELDS AUTO-DETECTED BY THE PLUGIN.
The only way was manually with the functions.php file.
The only plugin recognized was:
