Auto-draft issue after updating to 15.8

I have exactly the same issue. After updating the plugin from 15.7 to 15.8 whenever I make a new post or page or open an exisiting post/page it shows an empty page with title auto-draft and all content is gone. Deactivating the Yoast SEO plugin or going back to 16.7 fixed the issue.

That said, are you currently running the 3rd party Polylang plugin on your site? If yes, it’s a known issue and is planned to be fixed in Yoast SEO v16.0. You can find the relevant pull request here https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/pull/16689 to find out more information about this.

Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.6.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

If your WordPress core is fully updated we ask that you please take the following steps as it sounds like a plugin or theme conflict.

1. Update all your non-Yoast Plugins.

2. Please perform a full conflict check by Checking for conflicts. Install the Healthcheck plugin and enable troubleshooting. Then switch to a standard theme like 2020. Does the issue resolve? NOTE: This will not affect how users see your site.

3. If there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue?for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
