Auto Empty Abandoned Cart?

Hi Guys,

Not sure if this has been covered before. If it has, I apologise for a repetitive post as I can’t seem to find it.

I have woocommerce 2.4.7 installed and I seem to be getting an issue with customers adding an item to their cart and then leaving it for a while, let’s say 6 days for example. They then come back to the site, view their cart and place an order. The problem is, is that this is allowing orders to be place for items that have since been out of stock.

When I check the order in the admin panel, the order notes say Stock successfully reduced from 0 to -1. Why is it allowing this?

Is there a way to clear a cart when a user closes the browser?

Or not allowing an order to be placed for out of stock items?

I have seen some code around the net but they don’t seem to work.

Any help would be much appreciated.
