What a pain in the ###. As a manager of many WordPress sites that are using Monster Insights, it was huge issue to open my email and see 75 email summaries from different websites and know that I would get them repeatedly until I login and turn them off.

Not only was it a pain, but none of them was even accurate. They all showed zero sessions, pageviews, and engagement.

    Don’t ever do this again.

Sorry for the trouble here! We released a feature a little earlier than expected. We are in the process of creating a patch that will resolve this issue for you.

In the meantime, you can disable the email summaries within the MonsterInsights settings.

Insights ? Settings ? Advanced ? Email Summary.

    And toggling the option off.

Let me know if you run into any issues.
    Thanks,

@tharg3, I don’t want to have to login to 175 websites to manually toggle this off — this will waste several hours of my time. Can’t you release an update that has this disabled by default and if we want to get the summary, we can turn it on? That would be much more useful! I see the option is serialized in the database so not sure I can run a script across all of my sites to toggle it without breaking even more while I’m at it.

    Indeed @justinrogers

It is unbelievable that they are doing this: (1) start mailing summaries without our permission and (2) using our admin email address via the domain name of the website to send those mails! That causes spam troubles.
