Auto expand sub-menu in sticky footer

I have created a max mega menu for my sticky footer. It’s simply a sub-menu from a dummy single menu item. Is there any way that I can have it open up to its expanded display automatically? Currently a user would have to click on the sticky footer and then click again on the dummy single item before she could see the mega menu.This is one click too many! I’d be most grateful for someone’s help. Many thanks –
