Auto-fit image in a box?

It’s based on the “Slide background image fill” option:?https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1809-slider-settings-slides
how your images look like in the slider. By default the “fill” option is used which will make the image as big as it needs to be to cover the whole slider. This means that if the slider and image aspect ratios differ, the image will be cropped.
In your case these are completely different since your images have an aspect ratio of 1:1 ( their size is 1024px*1024px ) but you set up the slider size to 750px*500px, which has an aspect ratio of 3:2 .

To avoid this behavior you should either:

• change the fill mode to “fit” or “blur fit” instead ( that way your images would be scaled the way they appear in your NextGen example )
• or you should use images which have the same aspect ratio as the aspect ratio of your slider’s size:?https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1774-slider-settings-size

Thank you. That works. However, when I click the image, it will not pop-up and showing the larger version, while NextGen is capable of doing so.
