    Hello.

I’m using the Markdown Extra plugin and I just noticed that descriptions generated from content written with Markdown use the unprocessed Markdown text instead of the final rendered markup.

So if the post starts for example with ?This text is _italic_”, this is exactly what the generated meta description will contain, underscores and all.

Is there any way around this? Thank you.

@tudorminator This may be an issue with how the Markdown Extra plugin works. I’m not familiar with how that plugin stores content in the wp_posts table. This may not be something we can support if it’s using a non-standard method for storing content.

@wpsmort Hi, the post_content field contains the text as entered, e.g. ‘This text is _italic_’ for the example I gave previously. So the Markdown transform runs after reading the content from the DB.
