Auto generating tags

Every time I save a post on WordPress, random hex codes get attached as tags. This issue is occurring on two different sites. Recently, one of the sites started adding about 30 tags at once when I publish a post or save it. The issue appears to be related to the ActivityPub plugin as deactivating it solved it.

I had the issue with the other site for about a year but it was less bothersome.
