    Hi,

Every time the Auto Import updates the data, the table is showing empty cells (the number of records is correct).

When this happens, I have to go to “Edit Table” section and just apply “Save Changes” (without changing anything) and then the data are visible again.

Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

That sounds really strange. What is the content of the cells? Something special like HTML code? Right now, I only see the empty cells when going to your link.
Can you maybe post the URL to the import source?

    Regards,
    Tobias

I disabled the auto update and now you can see the data of the table.

    Hi,

ok, nothing special there… Can you maybe try turning off the TablePress output caching to rule out interference from that? For that, just use this extended Shortcode to show the table on this page:

    [table id=4 cache_table_output=false /]

I replaced the shortcode but after I enabled Auto Update, the table is empty again.
What the button “Save Changes” triggers?

    Hi,

that’s really strange then. Do you see the data correctly on the “Edit” screen, or is that also showing only empty cells?

On the ‘edit’ screen, I can see the data corectly. Very strange indeed. If I just click on ‘save changes’ in this screen, the data will be visible in the page. (until the next auto update)

    Hi,

the auto update does not modify the data that is shown on the frontend, and if everything is correct on the “Edit” screen, that’s the data that should be used, especially when caching is turned off.
Can you maybe post a screenshot of the Shortcode as it’s shown on the page?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

thanks for that! I can’t see anything wrong there… My guess is that something on your site is maybe interfering. Can you therefore please try again after temporarily deactivating all other plugins (except for TablePress and the Extension) and after switching to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty? That way, we can find what’s causing this.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Hmmm… What is and where can I find auto-import?

    Hi Jeff,

this is about the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/table-auto-import/
