    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I don’t think that the WordPress update has anything to do with this.

Are you getting any error messages in the error log on the server? And is this on a live server that has live visitors (that’s basically a requirement, due to how the WordPress Cron system that triggers an auto update works)?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Sorry, where can I see the error log??

It is a live site, and the last automatic update was made on the 6. May

    Hi,

the error log is on the server, and depending on the host, you can probably access it through FTP.

If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

thanks! From what I can see, the reason for this might be with Dropbox, where you have stored the Excel files that are to be auto-imported.
For example, when I try accessing the the file for the import of table 1 in the browser, I only get an error message from Dropbox. This basically means that the server can not load the file and that breaks the import.

The issue with Dropbox might be connected to a security issue that they found on the their systems, due to which all shared documents had to be revoked: https://blog.dropbox.com/2014/05/web-vulnerability-affecting-shared-links/

So, to fix this, it might be necessary that you obtain new shared links for your Excel files from Dropbox.

    Tobias

Do you know if it possible to use other cloud services and how they work?
I have tried with Google Drive, but it don’t seem to be working.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

no sorry, I don’t have any experience with that. Basically, what is required is a URL that can be used to directly and publicly access the file, without any intermediate pages (like those that only have a “Download” button for the file).

    Tobias
