    Hi Katie, hi all,
first of all, and again: million thanks for having brought this wonderful plugin to life, it’s a real time-saver!

One feature I for one am missing is an auto-update feature – would it be possible to integrate a routine that would import one’s zotero database into WP automatically, say, once a week or every three days? There’s other plugins where such a feature does work seamlessly and without problems (i.e. several of the WP database backup plugins floating around the WP-universe).

The background story for my recommendation is a site I’m administering, which brings academic staff from various fields of expertise together, and each and everone of them has a personal profile with her or his recent publications, which I organize via one central database in zotero. Currently, I usually have to manually update the zotero items in WP each time one of the researchers decides to update her or his publications entries, and an automation feature would tremendously help reducing my having to fiddle with the installation ??

    thanks a lot in advance,
    and all best,
    tobagouk

I agree and I’m open to suggestions. There used to be an auto-update feature but it wasn’t stable. My understanding is that CRONs do the job and I’m looking into that as a possible solution.

    +1 for auto-sync.
An alternative would be to leave the option to auto-sync to the user. (i.e. the user disables it if it doesn’t work)
How can I help and where can I start/look for this?
    Thanks.

    Sorry,
I also noticed that if new items are added in a collection in zotero they are imported during a sync – I must do a re-import (library or collections) for these.
Is this the expected behaviour of Zotpress?
    Thanks again.

+1 for auto-syncing. I’m sure we should be able to do it with the cron…

I’m looking into CRON alternatives but given the size of most people’s libraries I’m not sure if there’s a feasible solution (I’d really like this feature, too … major bummer).

There are issues with the sync which I’m looking into at present. Sorry about the inconvenience.
