Auto-notify editor

I searched around a bit and couldn’t find an answer to this.

Is there a way to auto-notify an editor that there is a post from a contributor or author waiting to be published? This is my first time using WordPress for a multi-user blog and I want to filter everything through one editor now, and possibly multiple editors in the future.
