• Is there a way that I can tell WP to automatically insert a “more” link after a certain amount of words, or at the first paragraph break? I’m sure there is, I just haven’t had the time to really get in and research the idea, or see if there is a hack/plug-in for it. I’m developing a intranet for a fashion design college, and the team that I’m working with wants to automate the insertion, so a user doesn’t have to actively place the comment. I guess the best way for me to describe it would be to explain a scenario…
Say an instructor who has little to no knowledge of computers is asked to place a news article on the page which is powered with WP. Now the article that they have written is close to two pages in length, and we have limited room on the page for posts, unless someone wants to know more about the article… is there a way that after say 150 words, WP will automatically be like “Hey, that’s a lot of text you’re placing here, I should break that up” and then just place the link?
Let me know if I need to explain that a little more clearly.
