Auto Play Not Working

    I Auto Play turned on in the settings but it doesn’t seem to be working. I have confirmed that the slide show function itself works by adding the user controls and clicking on play. I quickly swapped in the default theme and that didn’t seem to make a difference, the theme has its own slide show running on the home page so I was expecting a conflict with that.

    JetPack is running on the site but all of its image features are disabled.

    I have checked error logs and couldn’t see anything in my browser debugger that gave me any hints.

    I believe the issue started with the recent WordPress upgrade but can’t say for sure. I had to redo all the plugin settings to even get the gallery to show up on the page. The Auto Play seems to be the only thing now working now.

    It looks like it’s working now on your site now? It may be that you needed to resave your options from the setting page.

    Strange still not working for me. I just tested this on Firefox and Chrome with no luck. I had to resave the settings after upgrading and have confirmed in the wp_options table that the auto play option is set. So you are seeing the slide show start playing on page load? What does the control option above the slide show say? I have “Start Slide Show”. When I click the start the slide show works fine.

    It was actually a missing option from the last major update. Please check the new version I have just pushed up.
