• I’ve had problems with the automatic plugin update almost since it became available. I’m guessing it’s a setting I need to fix on the server but I don’t what. Hoping someone here will have a clue.

Updating Plugin AddToAny: Share/Bookmark/Email Button (1/4)
    Downloading update from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/add-to-any.0.9.9.7.12.zip…
    Unpacking the update…
    Installing the latest version…
Removing the old version of the plugin…
    Plugin update failed.
An error occurred while updating AddToAny: Share/Bookmark/Email Button: Could not remove the old plugin..

When I look in the files, the old plugin appears to be gone and the new version is there but I can’t activate it. I can either upload the plugin the old fashioned way or delete it and add it as a new plugin. I’d like to be able to use the automatic update feature.

BTW, I have no problems with the automatic update of wordpress. It seems specific to the plugins.
