Auto-populate image and text from a URL

Hey everyone,

You know how on Twitter when you paste a URL into a tweet (but don’t add images), Twitter automatically inserts a summary image and text from that URL right below your tweet?

What is that called, and is there a WordPress plugin that does that? My search turned up nothing, but I may not be searching by the right terminology.
