• For the plugin author : You should declare this right at the beginning itself! I knew that your plugin lets us map select / checkbox fields to category / custom taxonomy. What I didn’t know was that I DID NOT NEED to populate said select/checkbox field and I could simply add them and leave them empty (without any options). Once mapping is done, this plugin automatically adds all the options for me from the website’s taxonomies! I spent half a day milling around the net looking for other functions only to realize I didn’t need to. This feature really takes this plugin smarter than the rest! Also, it handles featured image and file attachments smoothly. Thanks to this plugin I have a cool members area on the site where people can create and submit a new post right from the frontend (to be reviewed first by admin of course). Note to other users: I’m using the “Contact Form 7 Modules” to make a hidden field of user id, which is mapped by this plugin to “Post author” field.

Hey Nikhil thanks for the feedback and review.

Done! I am aware that the documentation could really be improved, and its on my bucket-list of things to do. If you wish to contribute to it by adding an FAQ or some details, please feel free to do a PR on the github repo.

Note to other users: I’m using the “Contact Form 7 Modules” to make a hidden field of user id, which is mapped by this plugin to “Post author” field.

another way to achieve this is to hook the action that is fired each time a submission is saved to the post and simply modifying the saved post author meta to the current logged-in user.

This feature really takes this plugin smarter than the rest!

have you tried my latest Smart Gird-layout extension for cf7? Its quite smart too ??
