Auto Post on Page after Upload

Hi i am struggling setting up wordpress file upload so that when “the user” uploads images or pdf files that it automatically posts them to the page, in the General settings it has a upload path option not sure what to insert there and i have set the page settings to allow comments and trackbacks and pingbacks, please help.
