Auto Posting twice

    This was working fine and then now it’s double posting. It’s calling twice.

    How long ago has it started?

    A very long time ago. It was working for a year great, then all of a sudden, it starts calling twice. I think it started at least a year ago.

    It could be that the WordPress core updates may have affected the behavior of the Task Scheduler plugin. Or it could be plugin/theme conflicts. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the problem in my development environment.

    I’ll keep in mind that such a problem exists. If you find something that may be related to it, let me know.

    I was going to setup an auto post delete but don’t know how to do it?. But further thinking, wouldn’t it call that twice also and would delete both?

    If the Task Scheduler plugin is affected, it is possible that other actions also get called twice. You want to test the Email action and see if you get more than one emails at a time.

    Just tried the email action, it sent 2 emails. So it’s the task scheduler, not auto post. What else could I try to resolve this? Thanks

    What’s the occurrence type? Can you try a different occurrence type and see if the problem occurs?

    Ah!! I’ve been using Daily, just tried a specific time, it only called 1 time. So it’s Daily that’s broken. Please advise on what I can do next?

    I see.

    Can you try the previous version (v1.4.4) of Task Scheduler and see if the same problem occurs?

    It worked!! The 1.4.4 only called once. I didn’t change a thing on the settings or task, just installed 1.4.4 and everything is working. Thanks. Hope this helps figure out what’s the difference between versions.

    It seems to be a problem of Task Scheduler v1.4.5 then. Thanks for trying and the feedback.

    I’ve uploaded a development version v1.4.6b01 of Task Scheduler (download), which should fix the problem. Please use that as v1.4.4 has a scheduling problem with the Daily occurrence type.
