    Hi,
it’s me once again… since my last post didn’t change much with my experience with the plugin.

I still get the “Quota Error” and along with it the visits counter droping to ZERO.

Google Post Pageviews Error: Quota Error: profileId ga:XXXXXXXXX has too many concurrent connections.

You said the last time that you would fix it, and even if there’s an Error, like the “Quota Error”, the counter will display the visits from the cache, instead of going to zero. Thing that isn’t happening right now.
I’d like to ask you, also, if it’s possible to make the plugin to auto-reconnect to Google instead of having to do it manually every time?!?!

    thank you.

    Hi,

I think you misunderstood what I said in another topic.

There’s nothing to fix regarding a quota error, it just means that you made too much API calls on Google servers. To avoid this kind of error you can increase the cache duration.

    Best regards.

Im getting the same issue. It seems like its utilizing the core realtime reporting api which has only 10k/day limit. It should rather use only the analytics api which has 50k/day limit.

yep, and even if the cache is set up to two weeks it keeps disconnecting

truejay: I don’t even think it’s possible. Since I make API calls to the Analytics API it’s utilizing the Analytics rate limiting.

gxt: Do you have the latest version?

That’s weird because when I look at the stats for # of calls our analytics api is making, when it reaches to about 10k that error message appears. Please take a look at the “Core Reporting API and Real Time Reporting API” here: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/mcf/v3/limits-quotas. This is different from analytics api which gives you 50K limit. Meanwhile, I’ll take a look into your plugin code to point you to where exactly you’re utilizing the “real-time reporting api”.

I didn’t understand that you were talking about core realtime of the Analytics API.

Anyway, if I understand the docs correctly, you have 50k limit per day shared accross every API, and individually they have a 10k limit. So you cannot go beyond that limit.

Ah I see. I think you are correct. I’ll have to pay for more quota.

Yes, I have the latest version of both WordPress and the plugin.
