• I want to change my permalinks but have over 250 posts that this will effect. I don’t want to have broken links but can’t manually change each link on the web. Is there any way to do an automatic redirect?

Thanks so much but that seems to be if all posts are going from one ending (-html) to another (.html) whereas all of mine are currently ending in /?p=#### (#=different numbers for each post) and I want to change it to, for example, /date-postname

I believe the solution you are looking for is changing the Permalink Structure. In your WP-Admin go to Settings->Permalink Settings ( or yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-permalink.php ). Once there you’ll have many options including ‘Month and name’ which will make the links the year/month/post-name/ .

    I hope that helps.
