I have learned that this is supposed to work with some js function “update totals on change” but for some reason it doesn’t work.
    Anybody know why?

It is necessary to also update the state field, otherwise it doesn’t work. I didn’t see that before, and now it works.

did you ever get an answer to this? I’m suffering the same problem.

Yes, but not on the forums. I had suppressed a lot of the forms that I didn’t want to see on the checkout page because they weren’t really needed. However, I soon learned that Woo passes those forms to the calculator and if they are suppressed, surprise, surprise, it breaks and amounts don’t refresh when a quantity or shipping destination is changed. I found that different countries have different required forms. I think USA has state and zip required, some others like Australia have a province selection which is mandatory.

    Good Luck!
