    Nice plugin, I like that it ties in directly with Google Finance.

    Is it possible to include an AJAX auto refresh capability? I have an application where this would be useful – static display that has little to no human interaction for days and sometimes weeks. If the ticker could auto refresh itself every X number of minutes, that would be a very nice feature.

    Hi there,

    Do you need auto refresh for WordPress, or you have some other solution? Do you have an example?

    Plugin re-take fresh details from Google Finance after cache timeout expires, so new data is visible on page load.

    If you speaking about updating quotes in ticker w/o refreshing page, it is possible, but unfortunately I have no time to implement that at the moment.

    Hi Aleksandar, thanks for the quick reply.

    Yes, I was speaking of the ticker/quotes itself updating without refreshing the rest of the page. I tried using a plugin called WP Auto Reload Widgets to do this before posting here, but it just blanks out the ticker on the first refresh (already tested this with no other plugins active, several different themes including base themes).

    If you find time to implement, please let me know. I’d like to donate to compensate for your time.

    Hi k2_1971 and zecka1213,

    I finally implemented auto refresh in development version. Would you like to download from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/stock-ticker.zip and test how it works for you?

    Please note, you have to review global plugin settings and enable option Auto Refresh there. By default auto refresh will be done on 300 seconds, but for test you can decrease to 5/15/30 seconds.

    Please note, because ticker is rewritten with new data received from server, you’ll see that ticker start to scroll from beginning.

    Hi again! Finally had a chance to implement your stock ticker with the auto refresh option. Works like a charm, good job. No issues I’ve seen on wordpress 4.5.3
