Auto select country not working

    Hello,

    I’m working on a website that used to use WPML multi currency option but the client wanted to stop that for an auto select with the customer’s country.
    I’ve set up the plugin, disable the multi currency option from WPML, set up all the prices with the multi currency device. Yet, I’m stuck euro (the main currency) even If I use a VPN to get an address in the USA (and I should display american dollars).
    In the system status, the detection seems fine : FR when the VPN is off, US when it’s on.

    What could be wrong ?

    Thank you for using VillaTheme’s plugin.
    Do you use any caches plugin on your site? Currency may detect wrongly because of the caches. If yes, can you recheck with the cache plugin deactivated?

    By the way, which version of the plugin are you using the pro or free version?

    No cache plugin on the site ; it’s the free version, the latest one, 2.1.5.3

    Hi,

    Please check your settings in WooCommerce > General > Default customer location, is the option staying “Geolocate” ?

    Yes, this option has always been active.
    Also I’ve tried within the plugin options to select Woocommerce and External for Geo API. None worked.

    Can you try to activate only WooCommerce and MultiCurrency and check again on a private browser?

    Hi mivtt,

    I’ve tried to have only these two plugins : the issue is still there.

    Moreover, with some mates, we did another test : for some people with a french IP address, the currency was reacting like if the visitor was from the US, displaying USD instead of euros while the ones using an american address where getting USD and Euros. This test was done with different ISP in different cities.
