    Hello,
I am using gtranslate plugin on my site siteweb87.nl.
The dropdown translation works fine, no problem.
But in the settings i checked the checkbox “Auto switch to browser language”.
I use no subdomains and no subdirectories.
The site is in plain English and the language for WordPress is English.
I switched my own browser to Dutch and French language. I added a script to check and it shows me the browser language has changed. But… the website is, when openend, not in the language that should be detected automatically.
How can I force that, AS AN EXAMPLE, a french visitor sees the website in French? If this is not possible, is there a redirect link / url possible? Like siteweb87.nl/language=french
Hope you can help me with this as I have, at this moment, no budget for a paid plan.
    Thanx
    Wil

@webkatana, no answer. I should have said that I have a paid version, lol.
When you go to the chat in the plugin you can wait about 20 minutes and then they give you the link to this support page without any answer. Also they try to push the paid version right away, but answers… no.

The problem is most likely the cache of the browser. When I delete all cookies and history and cleaned up my laptop, the page appeared in the language I want. Just took me a few hours to figure it out. It could be explained easily on the plug-in page so everyone knows what to do and they could refer to that and have less of the same support requests. But after a week of waiting I know I have to find another translate plug-in because these guys just do not take us serious.

    @wilsmithwp thanks for replying.
The paid version is great, I don’t have problem paying. Just wanted to give a test for customers first, and choose the language it will display using URL query or something. Anyway, the support doesn’t seems to be as effective and helpful as in the past.

@webkantana, paying is not the problem but before i pay for a plug-in I first want to test it on a development website and ask some questions if things get complicated. But if there is no support I am not sure if i should going to use or buy that plug-in. Thanks for your feedback on the paid program.
    Cheers!

Easy one: They gonna answer you’ll get premium support for paid membership.
Anyway, during my research, I found that Weglot and Linguise might be an interesting alternative if you’re interested.
    Cheers!
