How do I get the content supplied by PODS to be protected by the default WordPress “Password Protected” post option.

If I choose “After” – I get the password protected content message, then my template shows directly afterwards. Despite the password protected content message triggering, my content is not hidden at all so that’s a fail

If I choose “Before” – My template (content and all) shows at the top of the page directly followed by the password protected content message. Despite the password protected content message triggering, my content is not hidden at all so that’s a fail

..and if I choose “Replace” – My template (content and all) shows at the at the top of the page with NO password protected content message at all — so that’s a fail

Any ideas? Publishing with password protection is currently a critical part of what I am building.

    Thanks!

    Resolved…ish.

Don’t use auto-templates, instead call template shortcode within the post.

NOTE: Though this worked for me, I can see where it may not be suitable for others because of wider templating concerns.

    Not resolved…

Using the shortcode breaks the automatic limitation of the retrieved records to just the post being looked at and instead loops through all posts.

    …back to the drawing board.

    Hi @doyenwilliams

This sounds like an actual bug.
Could you create a bug report on GitHub so it can be picked up for a maintenance release?

Closing this topic here in favor of GitHub!
